If I could save some stuff
And help me try remember
Who I am and what I did
From January to December

I'd probably put it somewhere
Somewhere safe and sound
Where it can't be disturbed
I'd probably put it in the ground

But I can't just bury them all
To keep them fresh and neat
I need something to hold them
A cover or container that can't be beat

A time capsule is what I need,
And to serve its purpose right
I need to decide what to put
So lets start it tonight
If I had this time capsule
I'd probably put a penny
To remind me of all the cash spent
Damn, all year, I used to have so many

I'd remember that so well.
It'd be a good memory of the time
Between January to Feb
All the money spent for my Valentine

Then of course I'd most likely have,
My green sweatshirt with beer stain
From March's St Patrick's alcohol,
Throw up, and some money down the drain!

After that I'd put my umbrella
And remember Spring brought April showers
And I'd definitely put an old tissue box,
Sneezing and allergies from May flowers

Then I'd put a bottle of white sand
And remember the time at the beach
Summer babes all day long, June, July, August
Till summer's end was in reach

A Green Day CD, and some candy corn
That would be next in line
So I remember that September ended
And all the candy for Halloween was mine

So whats left for my capsule?
A can of gravy,gift tag, and a mat?
The time I got sick on Thanksgiving,
My gf's present to me was a hat...

Oh, and the mat, I'm not sure
I'll put it in there just for reference
Where you and I both got confused
Why I would put a mat that doesn't make sense

Well, running out of room
And running out of rhyme
Wait, I forgot where to bury this
Oh well, I''ll figure it out in time
